AUDIENCE:
Managers, supervisors and safety professionals who supervise at height workers and who are responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of the fall protection program.
OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this comprehensive program students will be able to identify existing and predictable hazards and take corrective measures to eliminate them through knowledge, selection, use and installation of fall protection equipment.
Combined with problem solving hands on exercises, this combination will instill the working knowledge of all required elements of the program.

Competent Person for Safety at Heights

Competent Person for Safety at Heights
AUDIENCE:
Competent Person for Safety at Heights course is designed for Supervisors, Managers, and Safety Professional who have previously successfully completed the initial Competent Person for Safety at Heights, ZT-CPHEIGHTS course.
OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course, students will have received a working knowledge of the safe use of fall protection systems and their components. This course focuses on Principles of adult learning and Teach back competency.
COURSE INCLUDES:
- 1/2 day of hands-on instruction by an MSA factory trained instructor.
- The MSA Safety at Heights instruction training manuals and supporting documents
- Refreshments during the breaks in training

Competent Person for Equipment Inspection
DURATION:

AUDIENCE:
People who work at height and inspect their own equipment or person who is responsible for the care, marking, maintenance and annual documented inspection of company fall protection equipment.
OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this comprehensive program students will have been introduced to standardized practices for equipment inspection by using hands-on exercises.

- Inspection of Anchorage Connectors
- Inspection of Snaphooks and Carabiners
- Inspection of Lanyards

PREREQUISITE:
Competent Person Training from CERTEX or equivalent, no longer than 2 years prior
AUDIENCE:
This 2 year refresher is for managers, supervisors and safety professionals who supervise at height workers and who are responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of the fall protection program.fall protection equipment.
OBJECTIVES:
Students will be provided with all updated Regulations, Standards, manufacturers requirements and previous competent person training and be able to implement and manage a fall protection program in various locations and conditions.

MSHA Training
OVERVIEW:
Training is an essential part of MSHA’s mission to keep miners safe and healthy. Our goal is to help the mining industry develop high- quality training, and to strengthen and modernize training through collaboration with industry stakeholder.
MSHA Part 46 Training:
Part 46 training is required for surface miners and contractors engaged in Shell Dredging or Employed at Sand and Gravel, Surface Stone, Surface clay, Colloidal Phosphate, Surface Limestone, Marble, Shale, Kaolin, Feldspar, Granite, Traprock, cement, Line, Sandstone, and Slate Mines and Operations.
